Beta Weta
Whilst chopping down a couple of large speargrass and palm trees this morning I found a small family of tree wetas (Hemideina) at the core of the palm i took a couple of quick piccies which are full size if you click on them. Wetas are amazing creatures unchanged since the days dinosaurs roamed the earth and unique to New Zealand , from the differences in the two i snapped i'm assuming they are male and female (top being male egg laying spike of the female below). Felt rather sorry for disturbing their home so rehoused them next door :-)
In other news i have also made Pete "311t3 Haxt0r Big Guns O Leith" George an administrator of this blog as he misses his & is online a lot more than me.!
